it is a great place for a quick coffee or an breakfast or lunch. spacious, not too loud, also great to watch the bakers on the work on the back and go to the young ladies roll the croissants and on the way to the delicious cake and terrace under the counter, hard to resist. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Penny For Pound Moorabbin:
the food ingredients were incompatible between 2 visits. very generous proud gnocchi for the first time, then a sad little serve the second time, unseasoned and flat. the bakery looks fabulous, but the pastries/bread simply does not meet the high scale that is left by other large bakeries in the region, especially for the price. A very baby friendly and spacious cafe with delicious food, great staff and overall an awesome atmosphere to be in when having brunch.
The quality of the food ingredients varied significantly between my two visits. The gnocchi was an impressive portion during my first visit, but on my second visit, I was served a small, under-seasoned portion that was quite disappointing. The bakery has a stunning appearance, but unfortunately, the pastries and bread don't live up to the high standards set by other well-known bakeries in the region, especially considering the prices.
This café is extremely baby-friendly and spacious, featuring delicious food, a fantastic staff, and a wonderful atmosphere for brunch.
We’re thrilled to have this wonderful local restaurant! It will definitely become a regular destination for our family.
This restaurant is a fantastic spot for a quick coffee or a tasty breakfast or lunch. The atmosphere is spacious and comfortably quiet, making it perfect for a relaxing visit. You can enjoy watching the bakers work in the back, and it’s fascinating to see the young ladies skillfully rolling croissants. Don’t forget to take a moment to admire the mouthwatering cakes and pastries displayed under the counter; they are truly hard to resist!
