Description

At the Cornish Kitchen, expectations soar high, especially for their famed homemade Cornish pasty, known for its flaky pastry and hearty fillings. While some diners enjoyed a vibrant mix of flavors, others found the pasty merely satisfactory, highlighting a prevalence of vegetables over meat. Service experiences varied, with friendly encounters overshadowed by abrupt interactions during peak times. However, many praised the overall atmosphere and value, with reasonable prices enhancing the appeal. The addition of delightful sweets, such as apricot turnovers, further enriches the menu, making this establishment a noteworthy stop in Port MOONTA for both locals and visitors alike.

Was Anonym at The Cornish Kitchen Moonta a mag?
We tried a meat and a herb-filled Cornish Bakery pasties (also known as a flowing oggie) and they were delicious. The shortcrust pastry was light and the fillings were flavorful. Highly recommend trying them if you are in Port Moonta. View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about The Cornish Kitchen MOONTA:
After reading numerous fantastic reviews, we had high expectations for the homemade Cornish pasty at the restaurant. Unfortunately, it was just average. It was tasty and a good size for $5.90, but nothing extraordinary. It was served hot and looked nice, but it didn't leave a lasting impression. There was more vegetables than meat in the filling. The coffee was mediocre, and I wished I had ordered tea instead. View all feedback.

I had the best traditional Cornish pasty ever in Australia. For those unfamiliar, a traditional Cornish pasty is filled with minimal meat and lots of vegetables. While I wish there was more swede in it, overall it was excellent.
