We only had food to go, but it was really delicious. The guys were also really friendly and helpful when we ordered. Won't bother trying anywhere else in Moonee Ponds for my future take away Vietnamese food! And will also give it a go eating in some time. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Green Leaf:
Used to really like this place - but it's gone downhill. Service and food used to be great. But lately, both the service and qualityn of the food has gone off. Service last few times I've been there has been slow/slack. Food has been undercooked - or just hasn't been good. Plenty of other better choices nearby. View all feedback.
This restaurant offers delicious and affordable Vietnamese cuisine. The rare beef pho was outstanding, one of the best I've tried in Melbourne. It was a hearty dish served with plenty of basil and bean sprouts. We also enjoyed the ginger and prawn dumplings, which were delicious.
I have visited this restaurant multiple times and they offer fantastic lunch specials. The portion sizes are generous and the quality of the food is excellent for the price. The pho is delicious and the wait staff is very pleasant. I highly recommend the vegetarian spring rolls.
An added bonus is that the restaurant allows you to donate loose change to support orphans in Vietnam. There is a photo display at the counter showing where the money goes, which we found to be a great touch. When we asked the staff about it, he showed us in detail how the funds are used to help the kids and how he personally contributes to the cause by assisting at the schools.
This is a good place to eat. One thing which disappointed me was the quantity of food for which you are paying. The dumplings that we ordered were good quality but size was very small. The fried rice was also good.
Really lovely place. Cost less than $50 for drinks, meal and a shared entree for two people. Great staff and service. Fresh lemonade was amazing. Will go back when I'm around the area.
