The most wonderful personal tea pairing experience ever. The scones are to die for. We only go for the full experience on Saturdays and have never been disappointed. Can’t wait for the new season reopen in May ? View all feedback.
After reading the reviews made reservations for June 24 at 2pm. Due to circumstances we had to call to reschedule received no reply to calls so tried texting. After several texts, she replied and said she had June 21 or 22 available we replied June 21 please, thank you. This reply was read by her and she made no further replies so we thought all was good. When we arrived today (after a 2 hour drive , she was at the door before we reached the steps and called out you have no reservations . She seemed to have no memory of talking to us originally or the text messages when rescheduling. When shown the text messages she still seemed unsure but replied you didn 't receive a confirmation . How were we to know we had to have a confirmation. She was very rude in her tone of voice and bearing said maybe the times/dates got mixed mistakes happen call and schedule another time if you want to . No I 'm sorry this happened. Her whole attitude was JUST GO AWAY. (She also made no mention of calling my daughter previously thinking she was a different customer when she must have mixed up phone numbers. You can be sure we have went away and would advise other people to do the same.
Amazing family, Truly dedicated to the art of tea service. Delectable offerings paired with amazing teas. Definitely worth the drive. We had a relaxing girls day out along with a dose of history.

What an amazing unique experience. Everything from the furniture to the china is really special and the food is delicious!
Today was my first time to have tea at the Rose Cottage. I’m new to the Montrose area. The food was excellent and such a variety. It happens to be chocolate month how did I get so lucky? ? We had chocolate scones that were the best I’ve ever had and several other chocolate desserts after we had our little sandwiches. We had so much she gave us a box to take them home with us. The owner was a wealth of local info and knew so much about the history of the house. She was delightful and she gave us a tour of the house before we left. It was a wonderful way to spend a few hours. I will certainly go back.
