We were glad to find this restaurant when walking along the lakeside. It was happy to serve just a couple of coffees where there seemed very few cafes which looked over the lake. At 5 SwFr each, the coffee were not cheap, nor especially good,...and service was slow. However, it was worth it for the view of the sun setting behind the mountains across the lake. I stopped in for lunch after a visit to the Queen Museum. I thought the food was fine but somewhat bland. The vegetable soup was good but the apricot risotto was very average although the concept was brilliant. Although I was there as a solo, I was treasured politely which is not always the case. The view is so pretty!
We stayed for three nights at this hotel in room 202 (second floor with view on the lake . This four star hotel needs to start refurbishing rather sooner than late. The wall to wall carpet (pinkish yellow all over the hotel needs decent cleaning or...replacement. The furniture in our room was way dated, the sunscreen was durty and torn. Our room was clean and the bathroom was ok, nothing more. Breakfast is served in a huge old ballroom which was insufficiently heated and again very pink (I understand this must have been the colour of this room a good century ago but do we need to stick to the same colour pallet? The bar was closed on sunday and monday evenings??? We paid over €600, and this feel a lot for what we got.
