Restaurant L'O - Montreal

We were a group of 13 people and had dinner together in the frame of the preordered dishes of the restaurant. we had caesar salad, grilled salmon, drinks and dessert, and the food was definitiw good and delicious. the service was friendly, the atmosphere was pleasing, and we all have been happy to have the meal.

We were in the novotel for 2 nights and ate in this restaurant for both dinners. the goat cheese and tomatenteer was a delicious appetizer. I had the dory pan fried fish in the second night and it was really tasteful. our meals were both very close. the server were attentive and polite. there was a conference group in the second night, for drinks and it was very loud. when they finally left, the restaurant was not full of pleasure.

The steak frites and the filet dore were quite delicious, but not excellent. after the order of dessert (churros a little undercooked, and fruit salad,) we waited at least half an hour. we noticed that the waiting staff really coughed all night with the dining room barely half filled. when we followed the Dessert command, we were told that there was only one cook. people were friendly and I felt bad for them, but unfortunately for us, just a mediocre culinary experience!

Breakfast and service was good. there was an easy problem that they would solve their best, but I am not sure that it was enough if in a hurry I would return.

Alyssia (sp. is so cheerful that she almost makes up for the insufficient staffing. If you've spent the day seeing the city, the restaurant is a good place to stop and unwind. They don't rush you. We've not seen it crowded.
