The unbeatable meat at exactly the right time, the very good toppings and the excellent service, expensive, but it's worth it, you just have to be careful with the recommendations, because if you ask for everything they offer, the account increases considerably View all feedback.
What Blanche Paucek doesn't like about Restaurant Hambar:
While out for a walk, we stumbled upon a spot for brunch. The ambiance was wonderful, but the service was a bit slow despite the lack of crowds. My husband ordered the French toast, which came with a poached pear and ice cream. It was a tad too sweet for his taste. I opted for the avocado toast, only to discover honey on both the plate and eggs. This wasn't mentioned on the menu, and I have a honey allergy. The serve... View all feedback.
That was my first time to eat here. very trendy, great place for only drinks, as they have a lot of different alcohols, so they can do what they want or they can suggest a drink. we started with the charcuterie platter, very nice, so many. different types of home made meat. great start. we chose plates for sharing, loved it when we were 4 people, and in the position to try different plates was amazing. everything was very good, the aromen were there. we had 8 tellers that we shared, risotto, bark tars, gnocchi, all excellent. thanks for a wonderful dinner. the place and the personal are top. much fun.

We had a group of 11 people for dinner after a business meeting. we sat at the tables. great service. the food was delicious and the restaurant was not excessively busy for a Thursday night. we ate family style!
Housed within the St Paul hotel, the Hambar was a great find. Charcutier plates were phenomenal and the prosciutto melted in your mouth. We had a small plate mid-afternoon just about every day of our stay. Plenty of good wines by the glass!
Had a kind of weak charcuterie plate and a middling plate of fish. However, one entree came out in 10 mins or so; the other took more than 40 mins with no explanation given. It wasn’t particularly busy, but the waitress was a stranger to...our table. To their credit, I guess, they comped a drink for the delay. Of the many truly fantastic meals we had in Montreal—what a foodie town!—this one sadly trailed the pack
