Contribute FeedbackPiatto Pieno offers a mixed dining experience. Some customers found the food lacking, with overcooked pasta and average pizza. Service varied, with some staff being friendly and attentive while others rushed or ignored requests. However, others praised the generous portions, great atmosphere, and authentic Italian dishes. The restaurant's bring-your-own-wine policy was also highlighted positively. Overall, opinions on Piatto Pieno seem to depend on individual visits and preferences, with some patrons planning to return for the food while others may opt to explore other dining options in the area.
I took my girlfriend there for her birthday. The staff was friendly which was a plus but everything else went terribly wrong.Half their pasta is made with tomato pesto as the menu state clearly, we received our pasta with only olive oil. When we asked the waiter why there is no sauce or pesto his answer was "we stopped doing that". The pasta was tasteless which i could've boiled some water at home and added some olive oil to get better one.Their pizza is very average, the dough is thicker than normal italian pizza, the sauce and ingredient were not impressive.I asked the waiter to get a piece of cake with a candle for my girlfriend birthday to surprise her. He just ignored me and brought cake without any candle.Overall experience : very bad, will definetly avoid this place in the future, will not recommend it to anyone.
In Petite Italie, Quite a large place with 2 levels and a terrace. The food is quite standard - not exquisite, but OK. But nice to have an affordable meal as you may bring your own bottle of wine.
We had reservations for 6:30pm on Friday(20-01-2017) for 10 guests, our table was ready for us,the waiter gives us the menu to look at as we waited for the rest of the family to arrive, the waiter open our wine bottles for us(it's a BYOB restaurant),the rest of the guests finally arrived,we chatted as we overlooked the menu,we called the waiter over and gave our orders,9 of us had pizzas,1 had gnocchi's,I also had fried calamari's,my daughter had Italian sausage as an entree,my pizza was a meat lovers all kinds of meat on it(very good),my wife/daughter had a veggie pizza, her boyfriend had the same as me,the rest of the family ordered theirs, and my niece had a plate of gnocchi's,as the food came the entrees were good, big portions too enough for 2 people,as we finished our entrees, our main dishes started to come in,even the pizzas were big enough for 2 people,I didn't finish mine, neither did my wife, everyone enjoyed their plates,we had a great time at Piatto Pieno, the restaurant is noisy and loud,I had asked during the evening to lower the music as we had a speaker right behind us,they did so,but after a while it would go up again!!!!!,another group came in as we were there, they had a great time too.Piatto Pieno is a no fuss BYOB restaurant, good pizza/pasta,great for large groups,we recommend this restaurant if you don't mind loud music too, make sure you make reservations on Fridays and Saturdays.have a great time.
