we even received menus. The service was slow and inattentive. The food was average at best, definitely not worth the high prices. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else for a better dining experience. View all feedback.

The servers started off in French but were very happy to switch to English, were attentive and pleasant. We will most definitely return here.
We totally lucked out with this restaurant..On our last day in Montreal, not wanting the trendy type of restaurants we walked and walked and finally decided to go to St. Denis and know that we would find a good restaurant. After looking at about 10 different ones, we knew that we wanted a Bistro style brunch lunch. We found Tarmac! A family run Algerian inspired bistro. What unique and tasty flavours. Enjoy the Cheddar and Duck Confit Rosti. yum! Will definitely be back the next time that I am in Montreal!
My family and I enjoyed a delightful Sunday afternoon brunch at Tarmac today. We had planned to eat at l'Express on the same street, but did not have a reservation and did not feel welcome to wait for a table. We were attracted to the sharp orange sign of Tarmac across the street and peeked in to find a bright and cheery dining room with tables available. We were welcomed warmly and seated quickly. Fresh juice, tea, and caffe au lait were brought out as we studied the menu (French only, but our server was happy to translate). We ordered a spinach, herb, and goat cheese omelette, an open faced house-version of croque-monsieur (topped with sauteed peppers, chorizo, two poached eggs, and pesto hollandaise), and two special-order grilled-cheese sandwiches. They each came with various combinations of fresh fruit, grilled potatoes, or green salad. Everything was cooked perfectly and was colorful and delightfully served. The full dinner menu looked intriguing (contemporary French dishes, some with Moroccan spices - cumin, safron)., We're eager to try dinner here on our next trip to Montreal.
I ordered the Poutine before leaving and it was a unique twist on the classic dish, made with Barbecue Style Prime Rib.
Is it justifiable to give a one-star rating to a restaurant in an airport, where patrons only eat out of necessity?
