Smoking Meat Vieux - Montréal

I was told to try smoked meat while in Montreal, but I wasn't impressed until I came here. All the food was made on the premises and sourced locally. Definitely give this place a try if you want to try smoked meat or even if you're on the fence. You won't be disappointed!

The smoked meat was really good! Their poutine was also really good but be aware it is with roasted potatoes not fried which was tasty and different but not "classic"

I found the smoked meat here lacked flavour. The view from this resturant is great but u feel that is what your paying for.

My wife and I recently visited Mtl, and she wanted a smoked meat sandwich. After reading the reviews I thought that this place in Old Mtl, sounded perfect. However, while the smoked meat was in fact very delicious, I was very dissapointed with the size of the sandwich, especially given the rather very high price. While I know that smoked meat sandwiches are somewhat small, a half sandwich that you can eat in 2 bites at $14 a sandwich, is simply unacceptable. Perhaps we simple got the small end of the rye bread, but when you spend $45 for 2 sandwiches and 2 beers is rather steep, even in Old Montreal.

The smoked beef sandwich is apparently the favourite so my friend and I went in that direction. It was phenomenal. Biting through the meat was like putting a knife through butter. It was unbelievably soft and delicious. Reasonable prices as well as you get a sandwich, water, and coleslaw for app $15. If you're in Old Montreal, check this place out!
