We are really happy we read about this spot, it's clean, inviting and staff makes you feel at home.We had two of their phos, small size is huge but large is even bigger and only a buck more. We'll be to try the special pho only served on weekends.Closed Wednesdays. View all feedback.
What Merritt Hyatt doesn't like about Sen Vang:
I wanted to visit this place for some time since they were supposed to be known for their bun bo hue pho. my visit, unfortunately, was not available because of lack of meat. other comments: limited menu selection, and somewhat pricier than some pho...loks pho was average; good amount of meat and ok taste would be 't consider the repetition given the other options in the environment; View all feedback.
Best Pho!. This has become my go-to pho place. It is conveniently located just across from Cote-St-Catherine metro station. The menu is small, but everything I've tried has been delicious. The pho is excellent, as are the imperial rolls. They also serve bun bo hue every day, although it is not listed on the menu so you need to know to ask for it. The restaraunt is owned by a family. They are always friendly, and really take pride in their food. Often the chef will come out to ask us if everything is ok. The first time we went, our waiter was more than willing to explain different menu items, as well as offering suggestions. It was obvious that he thought highly of the food here.<br/ <br/ It is worth noting that it is cash only. The first time we went, we were unaware of this. The staff were very trusting, and let us go take out cash at a nearby bank and come back to pay. <br/ <br/ I have tried many other pho places in Cote-des-Neiges, including the popular Pho Lien, but this one is definitely my favourite.
Great service. Delicious meal! I hope that their business grows because not enough places serve food with a positive attitude and a warm smile. Keep up the good work! :

Very basic restaurant like most "ethnic" neighborhood restaurants. This one is always full of Vietnamiese families, is clean, has basic but charming decoration linking Vietnam to its French past...you have to fall for the old French tubes playing in the background, very discretly. Also for the fully trilingual staff, a bit shy but when asked sharing in an almost confidential way secrets about their food...and pricing is really fine. It was packed on a sunday lunch even if the wheather was perfect and the terasse closed...so they surely do a number of good things. My 7 years old daughter was extactic about the Vermicelli. And the dessert composed of Coco milk and green and red fevas, like a Tapioca. For myself, this is where the "issue" is...the food is good, but not raving...so not sure why other sites give such a high rate to the place. The roll was god but very "classic", the chicken was ok without being perfect (I personnaly do not like chewy parts nor bones in a chicken meal on vermicelli, but I guess this is more "real" than plain white chicken club served at the st-hub). Also, they have limited beverages (please add some juices for kids?) and no alcohol licence.I will necessarily go back to test more items on the menu as the place is walking distance to my house...and the Pho is probably the speciality of the place so I need to test it...stay tuned.
Bon restaurant à prix raisonnable (un grosse dizaine de dollars environ). Les pho conviennent très bien pour un dîner.
