Robin Des Bois - Montréal

Looking for a beautiful setting in Montreal to enjoy coffee, lunch, and live music? Look no further than Robin Des Bois in the middle of Park Lafontaine. Reminiscent of Sherwood Forest, this place offers a magical ambiance for Sunday brunch with live music. While prices may have increased due to the challenges faced by restaurateurs during the pandemic, the experience is well worth it. It's commendable that the city provided the owners with a new building after their old restaurant burned down on St-Dominique street. Although I haven't tried the food yet, the LaFinDuMonde beer and enticing smells from the kitchen make for a promising dining experience. And the setting? Simply stunning! BRAVO!

Today, we visited Robin des Bois. I was excited to share the concept with my boyfriend. We were seated at a high table instead of the standard height we requested, but it was not a big issue. Unfortunately, there were multiple mistakes made by the servers, such as bringing a glass of beer instead of a pint and forgetting to inform us that they were out of the tempeh burger my boyfriend ordered. The final straw was when we received a disappointing poutine, with small portions and stale cheese. Despite returning the dish after only two bites, we were still charged for it. This experience dampened our enthusiasm, and we will not be returning. It seems that Robin des Bois is relying too heavily on its concept, neglecting the importance of good food and service. Montreal offers many other options that provide better quality and service.

The restaurant has a wide menu catering to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Our group found all the dishes we ordered to be fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly and I was impressed by their business model. I definitely recommend visiting this restaurant if you're in the area.

Our friend recommended this restaurant so we decided to try it. upon entering, there is a tiny room where you can break dishes for $5 a plate. I guess it's good if you have some pent up anger after a long work day to go there. We both ordered the steak and fries and enjoyed it much more than the other restaurant we went to for the same dish. In the bathroom from the signs (although in French), it was nice to learn that the restaurant donated its profits, accepted volunteers to learn about the restaurant business and seems to also teach kids too. Makes the price much more acceptable Highly recommend you book an appointment. It gets busy after 7 pm

I had the opportunity to try the tempeh burger, even before it made it to the regular menu... and it's great! This is a testament to their constant effort to make the Robin Des Bois experience more enjoyable(great jazz on Wedneday night too! . Give a hand(it's partially volunteer driven , break a plate(there's a room for that! There is no place like it; you'll see what I'm talking about when you go!
