Stopped there for quick bites. Tried the classic poutine and chicken wings. Food was alright. Server were alright! Overall good experience. They have outdoor sitting arrangements and that’s why we randomly picked this spot for a quick bite. View all feedback.
What DS S doesn't like about Resto- -café-breakfast La Baraque:
Poutine was premade fries with few cheese cubes put in microwave oven. Pizza was ok for $19 for 10 inch personal. Most disturbing part was on 36 bill, the server added $6 tip without asking. I am not against tipping but what annoyed me is she did not bother to ask. We were in rush so didn't want to argue. But for 2 items to pay $42 is insane FYI. Those who are trying poutine first time, please don't eat it here. Frie... View all feedback.
They had a nice old Montreal experience sitting on the cobblestone roads eating under large umbrellas. Very cute and a fun setting. The food was good. My wife and I split a vegetarian pizza and poutine with bacon and I had a beer and she an Irish coffee. The food was a bit over priced but that is per the area, but I was more surprised by the price of drinks. Her coffee was 15.99 and my beer I believe was 13.99 for a 16oz. The staff was very friendly and nice and we never felt rushed or anything, they did take a while to bring us the machine after we were given our bill though we had to remind them. My only other complaint is that online it says they open at 11, but they didn’t open until after 11:30 which things happen so not a huge issue. I would recommend this place truly for a nice experience. It was a fun lunch spot.

Located in Old Montreal, eating on the patio seemed like a part of the experience. Food was good, I had the poutine and smokes meat sandwich. It was pricey for the type of food, but expected given the prices in the area. Like I said, all part of the experience.

I'd recommend any vegetarian food seeker to try some other options.
The poutine was alright, wasn’t very mind blowing. It was quite delicious, the fries were crispy not soggy from the sauce. The portion was not that big as they said they were for two people. I would say if you are very hungry, the portion is ideal for one person. We did not order anything else from the menu.
