I have been coming here for quit some time. i have always enjoyed the food, the service, the atmosphere. but last night inspired me to write this review. I had the burger.... It ranks as one of he best burgers I have had in a long long time. You actually tasted all the ingredients, the flavors seemed to explode in your mouth in a very controlled manner. I would recommend this place to anybody that has a fine palette. View all feedback.
Great little secret in Montreal's Little Italy sector. We attended the "all you can eat sushi night" on Thursdays. The soup was included and it wowed us. Then came the delicious sushi, presented in an artistic fashion. We loved the food. Loved the decor and ambiance. Then a DJ came in to play some great music. Overall a great experience. They have more than sushi. Specialties include pasta, fish etc.
After The Nasty Show, my oldest friends, The Cyclist and The Ex-NHLer,along with a new, delicious Cougar journeyed to a section of our culinarymetropolis I rarely venture to . . . Little Italy. 'Restaurant mange*boire', located in the heart of this seldom considereda cauldron of palatable foods, is the brainchild of a young, entrepreneurialspirit who brought with him a treasure-trove of expertise in the fickle worldof restaurants. He first caught my attention, back in the early 1990s', as a waiter at 'QuelliDella Notte', whose replacement 'Pomodoro' is facing his restaurant today.Gumption! He then resurfaced, after the closing of 'Quelli ' at 'Sotto Soppra'another defunct establishment at the corner of Saint-Zotique. Matteo wasalways cordial, professional and very astute of his assets. After a period of adjustment and tweaking 'Restaurant mange*boire'is back and better than ever. The menu has been altered, and appeals toeveryone. They are enticing you with an 'urban' cuisine that diversifiesregularly. Consisting of homemade pastas, refreshing salads, sizzling grillsand of course their famous Sushi Makis . . . a seduction for sushi aficionadosfar and wide that I would put to the taste test with any top-rated, ultra-chichip restaurants that you need to take out a mortgage to dine at. Nestled, inconspicuously, between a bank and specialty food stores, amongother Italian restaurants between Saint-Zotique and Jean Talon, 'Restaurantmange*boire' offers the best of both worlds, the stylishness of the Westand the lack of pretension of the East. The moment you enter you are embraced by the serenity. The mellow colors, and the laid-back feel without being too casual. Nicknamed 'MB' by regularcustomers, this eatery is trendy and sophisticated, without being pretentious. With its Victorian light bulbs that reflect onto the glass tables, the shadowscreated by the plants hidden in the alcoves, the modern stars, the long bar,and the ultra-modern chairs colored yellow and white. 'MB' has managedto create a happy marriage between chic design and Oriental traditions. The atmosphere is warm and Zen, ideal for romantic or business dinners.Groups of all sizes are also warmly welcome. Chefs Jason Santin and Tony Cheung have teamed up to ensure thatyou will be dazzled by their creativity and tastes. They insure the quality andtenderness of each dish that leaves the kitchen. 'Restaurant mange*boire' also has a sushi bar where you can enjoytake-out daily, beginning at 3:00p.m. Yellow-tail tuna, proscuitto, pineapple, eel, octopus, red pepper, green sea-urchin, asparagus, mascarpone, fisheggs, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, scallops, beets, curd eggs, marinatedprunes . . . all these flavour mixes and perfectly seasoned fresh fish tocharm the most discriminating palate. Not much for cocktails, Matteo, who is also the sommelier, suggested thissingle vineyard Merlot, a Valpolicella, 'Le Prunne by Tommasi' with brightred berry fruit and mocha and spice accents. Great wine has the power tomake any meal or moment memorable. It's magical that way. The food is the story. At 'MB', the excitement is on the plate. The ingredientsare exotic, the plate presentations are decorative, and some of the combinationof flavors are downright adventurous. For starters we had an enormous platter of Sushi Maki . . . Basil Roll – lettucerolled in a green soy paper – salmon, Tobiko, fried sweet potato, tempura withbasil sauce were literally, melting in your mouth and vanquished in no time. A first for yours truly, were these Mini « Crab Pogos » breaded, with aioli saucewith lime and crushed peppers. Miniature delights. « Arugula Salad » Arugula,Bosh pear, parmesan, Yuzu and balsamic reduction. Standard but delightful andperfectly cleared your palate for the next succulent dish. Something I order whenever I peer at it on the menu and 'Restaurant mange*boire'did not disappoint. . . « Mac N'Cheese » rustichella d'Abruzzo pasta, agedcheddar, parmigianno, fontina and tartufo pesto. Definitely orgasmic and atpar with The Food Porn Palace. Main courses were a delight and Heavenly. « Magret de Canard » Pan searedduck breast, mango chutney, and mosto-cotto. Most of the main dishes camewith and this true consumate lover of 'Frites' ordered extra . . . their version« Matchstick fries » Like the name suggests thin strands of perfect, slicedpotatoes. « Pan Seared Cod » wild rice, bok-choy, green onion and asian salsa. The Cyclist was in Heaven. The final in this trifecta went to The Ex-NHLer andhe was 'As happy as a little girl!' « Blacken' Angus Steak » in a red wine reduction, with roasted red peppers, a mushroom medley and of course « Matchstick fries » The customary assorted « Fruit Platter » Vanilla Yuzu whipped cream toppedwith fresh berries and peppermint. A « Sorbet Trio » green apple, coconut, strawberry and Wasabi.'Restaurant mange*boire' is definitely the ideal choice for events and/orcelebrations. It's available for private functions; pre-set menus, Dj's and otherservices included. Corporate, Residential Catering and take out, is the basisand pride of 'Restaurant mange*boire'.* From Where I Sit! July 16, 2011

One of the best Asian food locally in the heart of Quebec City. We found great review on yelp and decide to give it a shot, wasn't disappointed at all.
OVERPRICE, DOESN'T TASTE GOOD, OILY_ I had pretty low expectation with thai food at Q.city, yet this fell down below my expectation.
