Restaurant La Vague - Montréal

On a recent visit to Montreal, my partner and I went out for dinner with my stepson to La Vague. Great menu catering to all tastes. Intimate ambiance. Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely go back.

We ordered the crab cakes and imperial rolls for starters followed by the salmon tartare and spicy Asian shrimp. All very fresh and tasty. Nice ambiance, very pleasant server/owner. We will be returning soon!

There were three of us out for dinner. We each ordered different dishes and shared one entre of calamari. Every bite was delicious from the crispy calamari to the superbly done main course. I had the grilled scallops, my friends the fish and chips and grilled tuna (done to perfection). I don't understand why some reviewers claimed this restaurant was expensive. I found it very inexpensive! A family run venue serving seafood with a touch of fusion, enough to make every dish a wonderful experience.

The food seemed overpriced and the flavour was good, but a bit expensive considering the size of the portion. The fish and chips dish was very good. The ravioli: only a few of them in the dish. The tuna was amazing but portion was small. It was interesting to be there as a first time but might not go back.
