my wife and I went to dinner last night. the last time we eat here was over a year ago. service was great and eating was just what we wanted. elaborate, delicious and fresh. butter chicken, chicken pakora, bark curry, lentil soup. Everything is on place for us.We are happy to go back and recommend it. View all feedback.
What Levi Schowalter doesn't like about Restaurant Indien Didar (anciennement Dev):
Didar never puts utensils in their bag. They don't use the Foodora packaging. Also, I always receive one pair of samosas per order but only received a single one per order, on my last order. I also tend to receive medium or spicy when I order for mild dishes. View all feedback.
Service and food are just excellent !A great family owned restaurant with good flavors. ? 10/10 would
The food is Amazing! I've moved out of the neighborhood for 18 years and still make the drive out to come eat here. The family run restaurant is so homely and the food recipes hit the spot. The owner and his wife are so sweet. Their son, Pleasure, has amazing charisma and is so professional when it comes to helping customers chose what to eat for the first time. If your in Cote des Neiges, and looking for great Indian cuisine, Didar is the place to be.
Food is generally better than other indian restaurants as they likely use real cooks and not students to cook. However, food is slightly costlier than it should be. Service is ok, ambiance can be better. I had best naan in Montreal here. Recipe lacks variety.
We stumbled upon this family run gem by accident. Our usual “go to” pre theatre resto was closed. We like to have wine with dinner so the byob aspect was a pleasant surprise, as were the dishes. Generous portions of lamb in the Karahi beautifully spiced, great sag paneer and vege biryani. The service was friendly and real. No surprise to learn later that Didar is run by the whole family the warmth of community and great food was appreciated. Thank You. We’ll be back. FeliciaandBill
Hands down the best Indian restaurant I've ever been to. Their butter chicken and naan bread is to die
