First meal in Montreal and Chase Galerie did not disappoint! We chose the six course tasting with wine pairing and I would highly recommend that option. We were early and had wonderful service but as the restaurant became crowded the staff seemed a little stretched but they never missed a beat-clearly a local neighborhood favorite and worthy of the accolades! What User doesn't like about Restaurant Chasse Galerie:
The service was the best part of our dinner experience. The food was less than average and even though That I am not a chef a can do better than that at home. The price was high enough that we should have gotten a better experience. The decor is really dimple but I would have overlooked that if the food would have been at a decent level. View all feedback.
I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a fantastic dinner in the heart of Downtown Montreal. It was superb. We started with a lovely amuse-bouche and enjoyed six delectable and visually stunning dishes. The mackerel, in particular, was a delightful blend of sweet, sour, and salty flavors. It was a unique and enjoyable taste experience for me. The ambiance was also lovely, not too casual or too formal. Perfect for a date night or a casual business meeting.
The food at this restaurant was absolutely delicious. Every dish was carefully crafted and beautifully presented, with thoughtful and carefully chosen ingredients. I especially enjoyed that each course was served on unique and beautiful handmade ceramic plates. The wine pairing we chose was a great addition to our meal, and we shared it between us, making it the perfect complement to our dining experience. Overall, this is a great place for a feast.
I recently enjoyed a 7-course meal at this restaurant and found every dish to be delicious, beautifully presented, and perfectly executed. The service was attentive, and the staff made an effort to engage with customers. However, my companion and I felt that the wine pairing was a bit too overpowering, with the white wine lacking a crispness and some pairings not complementing the dishes well. The highlight of the meal was the shot of local spiced rum served at the end. Overall, I was impressed with the tasting menu (and was informed that it changes frequently) and will definitely be returning in the future.
50-seat, subterranean, chef-forward restaurant with seasonal tasting menu (over five, seven or eight courses). The food is professionally prepared, even if every dish does not meet the brand. The signature mushroom and potato pure dish was very good. Prices very appropriate for the experience, staff was incredibly attentive and courteous (my French is terrible so that they changed server with one, the better English)
Exceptional dinner. My date and I opted for the 5-course tasting menu. After our 5 courses, there were two additional desserts. Every single dish was absolutely delicious. Presentation was beautiful creative. It seemed like the plates and bowls were crafted from a ceramic artist. Very intimate and small restaurant. Dim-lighting, brick walls, nice music playlist, and super attentive and knowledgable staff. Our favorite dish was the mushroom potato puree dish. We wish we had more of it! The flavors meshed so well together. We will definitely come back here again.
