a pleasant apéro between friends on a Saturday night. a very nice pub, very lively, but where the conversation is done without pain. very interesting selection of cocktails and beers, including the glutenberg, to accompany a nice tray of charcuterie. We talk, we eat, we syrup without rushing. small flat for short legs: high chairs somewhat difficult to climb. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Pub Sir Joseph:
pub atmosphere, courteous and fast service. But the food for us was pretty disappointing. 2 of our dishes were very fade, without seasoning and badly cooked. the portions are either huge or very small and it is relatively expensive for what we had in the plate. to go for a drink with friends I think it's a good place especially that several small bites are available and looked more enjoyable than our main dish. Used to a quality service in this restaurant, I booked for my spouse's birthday. serious mistake: one week before the event the manager canceled my booking without valid reason, I had to beg him to give me a table for 15 people I had already invited. I had to think of reserving what I should have done by thinking about it! During the evening, the time of my reservation had been changed from 8:00 to 8:30. Then the quality of the dishes mediocre compared to what I had known: you are served the entrances and dishes at the same time, the dry burgers, the dishes too spicy (almost immangeable), even the dishes of charcuterie were hardly seen. The chief has changed in this restaurant and it's not for the best. And the worst is that prices have increased! Then comes the moment of the birthday cake that I ordered: I was promised twins of 2 kinds with candles, something festive. We were allowed instead to a simple and dry chocolate cake with raspberries crushed on the top to palagate to the dry texture of the cake and of course no candles on the cake. errors on the addition at the end. Finally, here's everything to ruin a moment that should have been almost perfect. The change of the leader made it a mediocre restaurant. bad experience and disappointment of my guests!
We went there, my love and I, for the first time in a tuango promotion. without really expecting anything. upon our arrival sophie and his great smile warmly welcomes us. It presents the menu for promotion and explains the options that might interest us. It recommends an excellent organic wine and follows a delicious meal. the place is not very large and is very busy. Good sign. in short, a very good meal without pretention and an unrivalled service. Thank you, sophie. We'll be back soon.
Unfortunately the restaurant didn't live up to the hype and reviews I had read and heard. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. For entrées we ordered the charcuterie plate which was less appealing than those I've had at other restaurants (small choice of meats/patés and few accompaniments), and the onion bhaji which were burnt. Fortunately the main dish ("pulled" lamb Moroccan style) was tasty but could have had more zucchinis. The bar offered a decent selection of beers, but was quite limited in the cocktail offering. We were limited to ordering cocktails that were on the menu, so we couldn't order, say, an old fashioned, despite the fact the we could see the many bottles of various alcohols at the bar. It was as if the bartender did not have the freedom or the knowledge to make any other drinks. The atmosphere was alright and the service was slow. All in all, a very average experience. I don't plan on returning here, simply because there are so many choices in Montreal, with better ones (in my opinion) in the same category and style of restaurant.

We went with friends to eat at the pub. the choice of food is varied. food is excellent (good quality/price ratio also). the wine map is interesting since there is a lot of private import wine. the staff is very charming and very helpful for choices. the place is nice, beautiful decor.
