Mon Ami - Montréal

I am not an expert on Korean food in any way, but I know what I like. I really like eating dinner at Mon Ami.The fried chicken in heavenly and good price. the half chicken seems to me to be more than a half. Seems like a good deal for $15. The accompaniments are so yummy. The simple slaw, the various kim chi and pickled radishes are just tasty. As a non-expert in Korean food I can only advise that the food I have tried here is great and that the restaurant itself is a nice place to be.The BYOB aspect of it is new to me as an Ontarian but I really appreciate bringing our own wine and beer and saving a few bucks. Mon Ami does have good selection of soft drinks and juices too.the mood is relaxed, the K Pop videos on tv are neat and the volume is not too loud. It is family friendly yet also suitable for a fun date or for a group of friends.

What a great place to stumble upon by accident! In town for work and my coworker and I were looking for dinner in the area. Read some reviews and everyone mentioned fried chicken, so among the dishes we ordered I got the soy garlic sauce fried chicken, and it was perhaps the best chicken I've ever had in my life. Everything else was very good too.

Mon Ami is a BYOB korean restaurant that has excellent fried chicken and bibimbap. I was really impressed with the authentic food and I will be back. Note: this restaurant is closed on Tuesdays

A small family run BYOB restaurant offering authentic Korean food at a very reasonable price. Appetizers are just so so. Love the Korean style fried chicken, crispy, tasty, tender, and not oily at all. The silky tofu stew has a lot of seafood, and is at the right spicy level; I can eat two bowls of rice with it! The seafood pancake has enough green onion and seafood but is a bit soft. Pig feet (wang jokbal) definitely is the restaurant's highlight; in Montreal, only a few Korean restaurants offer this dish because it takes time to prepare. It is done very well, meat is fresh and tender, and the sauce (soy bean paste) and raw garlic go perfectly with it. Wrap everything in a big lettuce leaf and yum!
