Lester’s - Montréal

A friend who used to live in Montreal told me to come here rather than to the more popular place (particularly for tourists). We thought the smoked meat was great and we were able to get some that was vacuum-sealed to travel. The people who waited on us were helpful and entertaining.

Great simple sandwiches with lots of meat. Roasted Turkey salad was delicious. One tip: the "stuffed chicken" sandwich option is actually Bologna. Waitress was attentive. No wait. Very accommodating. Great place

Ici tout y est la viande fumée mais aussi le foie haché la salade de pdt la salade de thon qui sont des régales. Attention le restaurant ferme à 21h en été. Les pkats peuvent être emportés.

Stopped here on the way out of town to get some smoked meat to take home. Wow was their smoked meat good. I had read that this place is where the locals went to get away from the crowds at the more famous place nearby. Can't speak to that directly, but the sandwich I had was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had (and that is saying a lot, considering all the great places I have been). Poutine was good, my younger son loved his hot dogs, the older boy raved about his smoked salmon bagel sandwich. After all that, the trick bottle of mustard might have been their favorite part...but that is another story.

Was there yesterday and believe me its 1 of the best Smoke Meat I ever had portion is great service is very good and will be back
