Le Smoking Vallee - Montréal

Best BYOW place in MTL that I have visited yet. Very reasonably priced and serving gourmet food. Lovely ambiance and in the heart of Little Burgundy. Service was great as well.

I had been there years ago and had loved it still remember what I had the first time so was excited to go back. Unfortunately the experience wasn't the same. I had the pork loin. I got a huge ugly looking plate with potatoes overflowing. I expected something more refined and the taste didn't make-up for it. Undercooked and pretty much boring. I am very disapointed. Why offer something so grotesque on the menu if you can't make it right...the rest was good enough but didn't make-up for the main dish that I barely touched. Staff was nice. Too bad

We had reservations on a Friday night , we were 5 girls . I arrived first , and there was no one to greet me. I waited a couple of minutes before someone finally came . She brought me to our table , however never offered me a menu, or to open my wine . So, I sat there with no drink for 20 Min waiting for my friends . The decor, and atmosphere was nothing special . The menu, did not have very many choices. The food was forgettable . With so many great restaurants in the area, I would not go back to this one . Very mediocre, It's not bad , just nothing special.

Went there last night group of 8 for a birthday party. Brought our own wine. And did we drank!!!Food was excellent French cuisine. Service was excellent. My only complaint was the noise. And was it loud in there. You have to scream to be heard. Also the walls are very very dark color. Should be brighter. Highly recommended because of the food and byob.
