La Taqueria Mexicaine - Montréal

I have been going to this restaurant for over 15 years and I have to say that the standard and quality have continued to be the same over the years. I love the sauces for the chips and my favourites has always been the chicken Burrito or chicken enchilada!

I found this place walking by. It was cute inside and had a walk up counter to order, then they bring you the food. My Chicken Quesadilla was full of big chunks of chicken and fresh ingredients. The owner walked me over to the salsa bar and gave me an introduction. It had red and green freshly made salsas, in mild and hot, plus a pickled jalapeños, carrots, and onion mixture, and a tub of super fresh cilantro sprigs. Everything was delicious! My Quesadilla came with rice and a green salad which was also very good. I also liked that they had 2 pitchers of ice water which was nice after the hot salsa. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

We've been to this small restaurant countless times and we have never been dissapointed. The food is always fresh and delicious. The ambiance is comfortable and down to earth. The prices are also fair. My husband loves their black bean burritos, but my kids and I have ordered many of their meals and have liked them all. In all honesty, I felt compelled to rate this restaurant after having recently had a horrible meal at a "Mexican" restaurant in Niagara Falls.

The owner was incredibly polite and took the time to describe the various taco choices available.
