I was excited to visit this restaurant after hearing so many positive reviews, but I was ultimately disappointed. The lack of variety on the menu was not a problem, as the owner was very welcoming. However, the food was bland and there were only three options - beef, chicken, or vegetarian - all served with a large amount of couscous. The food at this restaurant is delicious. The tea is amazing and you can tell it is made with love. I had the pleasure of talking with the owner, who is very kind and altruistic. They have founded the La Khaima foundation and the Nomade festival to create connections between Mauritania and Montreal. The space is filled with ever-changing Mauritanian textures, colors, and objects that make you feel like you are traveling and experiencing the nomadic lifestyle. Thank you for a great experience. I will definitely be returning.

This restaurant is a fantastic choice for those seeking a one-of-a-kind dining experience! The ambiance is amazing and transports you to a foreign land, the service is excellent with friendly staff, and the food is delicious. We enjoyed a savory soup, a generous portion of couscous big enough for two, and finished off with a refreshing Moroccan mint tea. I highly recommend visiting this spot if you're looking to explore new culinary delights in the city!

Feels like you’re in someone’s home : Brought my mama for her birthday and she said it was her favourite restaurant experience of all time. Staff were so lovely and it’s such a relaxing place to sit. Incredibly cozy, love the low down seating and taking your shoes off. Also love that you’re free to stay for as long as you’d like no shuffling you out to get another table in. Very relaxed atmosphere and my favourite spot in Montreal
