A Montreal icon! I have been going here since I was little. The food remains excellent and you have to try the signature Orange Julep drink at least once! Open 24 hours in the summer and Wednesdays feature old cars all night long! Great place...More View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about H Gibeau Orange Julep:
We had lunch here and filled the lot with our Alfa Romeos as an event in AlfaExpo 17, a joint US and Canada convention. Typical fast food fare, plus poutine if that is your thing. The orange drink is worth a try. View all feedback.

Orange Julep is one of Montreal's landmarks. Their orange juice is mixed with some sort of ice cream powder so it makes it taste like cream soda, which is quite unique. They also serve hot dogs, hamburgers, fries and all that other good stuff. The food is good and they even have a some veggie options which I always appreciate. The only disappointment for me and my family was the ice cream as it's the standard, oil-based stuff that I'm not a fan of.All in all, it was really good.
My wife and I moved away from Montreal many years ago but still return when we visit to the Orange Julep. It seems like 40 years ago! The Julep beverage is the same as we remember it. The hot dogs are, well.....hot dogs like any others. The sea gulls are as aggressive as ever and fight over any stray food.A fun experience down memory lane for us!

I hadn't been to this place in an awfully long time. Best nights are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, for the car show and the motorcycle show. Lots of fun wandering around looking at the cars after you've finished an excellent burger and fries. The orange julep was not what I remembered, as I thought it would be thicker than it was, but that could be my memory playing tricks. It was cold, frothy and delicious. Fun to do on a warm summer evening.
