What Rosine Davies doesn't like about Fourchette Antillaise:
The owner was rude and disrespectful to us. He directed us to an inside table by the bar. We wanted to sit by the window and ask him. However, he told us with an attitude that clients do not have any say in where they sit. Mind you, we were the first ones who arrived at his restaurant for lunch on a Wednesday. The griots is the best i've found I've eaten there for years when i lived in montreal and everytime i travel back to montreal i make sure to stop there for a good meal!
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. I went with a party of 6 people and between all of us, we ordered griot (fried pork), tassot cabuit (fried goat), crevette (shrimp), and fried snapper. It came with rice, fried plantain, and a salad. It all was so good - well seasoned and cooked just right. And the piklis is EVERYTHING. I definitely would return. FYI - there is parking in the back of the restaurant.
Good choice of dishes, excellent prestige beer, friendly service, friendly atmosphere. Saturday's broth (national plate) is excellent.
Everything was good down! the food was 5 stars and the customer service was courteous and efficient
