I experienced very delicious and authentic Italian style pizza in Montreal, Canada, and I have visited Italy several times. Our meal included classic dishes such as calamari, a hearty Caesar salad, rigatoni bolognese, and pizzas margherita and pepperoni. The restaurant also offers a great variety of drinks, including a wide selection of wines. It is a great choice for a night out, but it is recommended to go early if... View all feedback.
What Marques Morar doesn't like about Fiorellino:
The food was average. I had bolognese pasta... My teenagers cook better spaghetti sauce than this! The meat wasn't well seasoned. My friends had gnocchis and pizza, which were ordinary. We ordered the jungle bird, which was supposed to be a sweet pineapple-based cocktail. It was bitter and tasted more like grapefruit-based drink. We asked for it to be very low on the ice... Half the glass was filled with ice. The foo... View all feedback.
A wonderful Italian restaurant offering some creative and really delicious dishes such as a butternut squash carpaccio and marinated melons with prosciutto. We enjoyed a wild boar pappardelle and gnocchi with ricotta and fried zucchini blossoms. Our party enjoyed the wine too. Oh, the pizzas are good, too!
Yes the place is cute; yes, the staff is friendly; yes the menu is limited but you know that before choosing the place so that is not a criticism. It's just that, well, you know when somebody tells you that a movie is AMAZING and then you go see it and your expectations from the recommendation could not possibly be matched? Like that.So 4 of us went for lunch, each choosing a different pizza. The pork and cabbage ragu pasta had been recommended by a friend but it felt too heavy and wintry for a warm July noon. The pizza toppings are very fresh, plentiful, delicious The crust is the disappointment. They are indeed wood-burned and unevenly shaped so you can tell they are hand-formed, adding that authentic homey look to them. But the trouble is that the edges are all puffy and a bit charred, that is fine, but the under-crust, where the toppings are, gets completely soggy and is so thin that it can't be cut. It has to be sort of scraped into bite-sized morsels wrapped with the toppings of your pizza. The salad is included in the pizza price, at least the house salad is, we opted for the zucchini salad for an extra $2 per person. That was delicious, I mean perfectly seasoned, thinly sliced, fresh and lovely. We did not have desserts or drinks. One thing I found, since we were business acquaintances meeting to catch up, the noise level inside the restaurant gets very loud and makes it challenging to hear your table companions at times. But that is not a big deal. There were about 5 cute little tables set up outside near the sidewalk, in the shade, looked really nice, probably best suited for solo or two diners, was a bit tight but seemed pleasant and summery.
Hidden in a quiet street and facing a nice small park, this restaurant is crowded for lunch but very family friendly for dinner. The atmosphere is nice and the decor is industrial-chic. The menu is small but surprisingly good. We liked the pulpino (pulp), the napoli pizza with fresh tomatoes and the tiramisu desserts. The rissoto was less appreciated but the overall ambiance and the friendliness of the staff will make us return to this place.
Was in Montreal recently and was looking for a restaurant close to our hotel. Luckily within a 2 min walk we found Fiorellino. Three of us for dinner were happy with the very friendly staff our waitress was very nice and helpful, can't say enough about her. We had a antipasto misto of homemade cold cuts with homemade foccacia I encourage you to order this it can be shared by 3 or 4 people easily. As a main two of us had pizza and one had the porchetta. Pizza's are fresh cooked in woodburning oven just loved them. Tried the porchetta and almost order one for myself, excellent. Overall the place is laid back, staff is cool and the price is right. Oh by the way choices of Italian beers is impressive.
We passed by this resto on a walk and thought we'd go for supper the next night. It happened to be Father's Day. We were a couple however, there were many families in the restaurant. Service was prompt, the food was well prepared, staff was friendly. My one complaint was the noise level. The restaurant was full and everyone was talking of course, but the restaurant is in a concrete space and so there is a lot of reverberation. Not intolerable, but as I age I don't hear as well and my wife and I had a bit of trouble hearing each other and the server. She had risotto with pepper and cheese and truffles. Lovely taste. I had papadella with wild boar sauce. Again, lovely taste. Dessert, canoli for her, zabaglione for me. Delicious. I saw pizzas on other tables and wished I had ordered a pizza. The pizzas looked amazing. Oh well.
