Drogheria Fine - Montréal

Went for a walk thru Mile End and just had to try these Gnocci on the go. Served in little box meals and only $5. They are delicious. Soft and melt in your mouth in a superb tomato sauce and topped with Parmesan Cheese. Definitely worth the wait in line.Plenty of benches to sit around and enjoy the sites of this trendy and eclectic neighbourhood in Montreal.

Very small shop consisting of basically a walk-up window serving delicious Italian food. We had homemade gnocchi and homemade pasta sauce.

Unbelievably delicious tomato sauce! I can't even put in words. This cute little window front serves a little takeout box of gnocchi with tomato sauce and it is absolutely wonderful! A must visit!

Lots of food for$5 but not too tasty. Quite bland. Flavorless. Wouldn't go back. Maybe I don't have the right expectations but we didn't finish it and threw over 1/2 out.

We sampled the gnocchi and tomato sauce, seemed like a good deal for 5$. But most of the gnocchi were not even cooked through, they were hard starchy lumps. I threw most of it away. My guess is that they weren't boiled beforehand but just dumped into the sauce so weren't evenly cooked through, and the sauce tasted somewhat on the burnt side. Also the guy serving us, which I am assuming is the owner, was rather rude, he told us to get out of his shop and wait outside, we couldn't look at the products he had for sale. Considering all the other reviews, I must have come on an off day.
