Feedback
Located near McGill University, Chef on Call is a mixed bag of reviews. While some found the atmosphere unsettling and the food below average in taste and quality, others praised the convenience and variety of options. The menu boasts burgers, tenders, curly fries, salads, sandwiches, wraps, and a variety of sauces. Customers highlighted the veggie burger, poutines, and chocolate milkshake as standout items. Despite mixed feedback on service and cleanliness, Chef on Call seems to cater well to students and those looking for a step up from traditional fast food. Overall, it's a place worth considering, especially if you're in the area and in need of a quick and satisfying meal.
The curly fries were fantastic. The service was quick and welcoming. The chicken sandwich was the standout item in the order.
I have been ordering from Chef On Call for a while now, probably ordering about 15-20 times in the last 3 months. However, every time the delivery person arrives at my door,
My boyfriend was adamant about ordering from this restaurant because he said it was good when he first tried it four years ago.
If you’re looking for the culinary equivalent of heartbreak and regret, this is your place. I came in with late-night hopes of creamy, cheesy comfort and left with a microwaved identity crisis. Their so-called “mac and cheese” is less a dish and more a public health warning. Imagine overcooked noodles bathing in what I can only assume is melted yellow crayon, sprinkled with despair and the faint scent of neglect. Texture? Gloopy. Flavor? Nonexistent. Soul? Absolutely not. It’s like they asked, “How can we offend cheese itself?” and then succeeded with flying colors. I’ve had more nuanced flavor from a packet of instant noodles—and at least that comes with instructions. The only thing hot about this dish was my rage after taking the first bite. If you have any respect for your stomach, your taste buds, or your ancestors, avoid this place like a cursed Yelp listing. I wouldn't feed this to my worst enemy. Or even my ex. And that’s saying something. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
