Very convenient restaurant, located just outside the control of the passage under customs. We're well served, the food is good and the cool setting. after it is at the airport, so eating at the canada is not very cheap, so at the airport even less!!! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Casey's Bar & Grill:
A typical airport sports bar with lots of seating and friendly efficient staff. The food is average - and certainly overpriced. A club sandwich with 2 beers will set you back $44 before adding the tip. The establishment stops serving food at 8 pm - leaving those of us arriving in Montreal past that time without a open restaurant. (The alternative is the Marriott Hotel, at the end of the airport, that has a full kitch... View all feedback.
As our experience was pretty good, I was surprised to see several negative reviews of this place. Either things have changed or we just got lucky? In any case, given that this was a meal in a busy location (airport), we were quite happy with the service, the time to order and to receive our food was slow but at a pace to be expected, and the food was definitely good. We had chicken tenders and fish chips. If you're in the Montreal airport and need a meal, I would definitely recommend this place.
The second time was on December 8th, and they told me they did not have a machine available to accept Priority Pass. The waitress checked with the manager and he said not to serve me unless I agreed to pay without using Priority Pass. I declined. Priority Pass should not include them on their list. With the unfriendly service and slow performance, I suggest going elsewhere.
We visited the restaurant and found many empty tables. The hostess led me and my children to a table, but we were abruptly told by a waitress named Tonya not to sit there. The hostess was also surprised by Tonya's attitude, and Tonya later tried to justify her behavior. Despite this, we waited for 15 minutes before asking when we could place our order. Tonya replied rudely, saying we needed to be patient and that all food would take 30 minutes to prepare. When we expressed our desire for a quicker option, another waiter informed us that they were out of steak, hamburgers, and sandwiches for takeout orders. Additionally, they mentioned that priority pass members were not allowed to order takeout, only dine-in service was permitted. As a mother with two young children and luggage in tow, I have never experienced such poor treatment. I hope the restaurant staff can learn to treat others with respect and kindness, rather than the disrespectful manner in which they behaved towards us.
I was seated promptly. The waiter was fantastic (Paul, per my receipt — July 11, 1:30 p.m. ! He was efficient, helpful, and communicated promptly the status of my order and missing menu items. The burger and sweet potato fries hit the spot… no complaints.
At first glance, this restaurant seems decent. It is a typical airport bar that serves burgers and steak. The service was satisfactory, but the steak I ordered medium rare was overcooked, dry, and tough. I returned it without any issue and opted for a burger instead, which was just okay, not exceptional. It definitely wasn't worth the $25 price tag. I probably wouldn't dine here again, as I would prefer to visit the Irish pub in the same concourse if I happen to be at YUL in the future.
