The place is gorgeous, food delicious, coffee delicious, and the staff really sweet. Even with reservation, had to wait an extra 20 min. Not mad, but something to consider if you haven’t eaten and are very hungry. After ordering the food and coffee, both came at the same time, but both took a very long time to arrive. The staff was kind enough to let us know it would take a little time for our food. Maybe if food tak... View all feedback.
What Enrico Strosin doesn't like about Barley:
This is our second time going to Barley for brunch, and both times we’ve been somewhat disappointed. The service is a bit slow, either in seating us or our actual orders. The place gets noisy and tables are very close to one another. Some items are definitely worth ordering like the pancakes and labneh platter, but the bowls didn’t impress us. Overall, I’d be curious to try it out on a quieter day to experience more... View all feedback.
11h15 for Sunday brunch, never again. 45min to get a cocktail. 1h30 to get food.
Everything was very good, but I found the music and the sound level too loud to have a conversation with those at the table. Otherwise all enjoyed their food and the service was very good.
They asked us to even wait for us to book it for 11.45 and it was 11.55. Then they gave our table to another because they forgot we were waiting. We could only sit at 12.15 and order at 12.35/40. Then we were served an hour after our order. The manager offered us the drinks because of the delay that was very appreciated by us! However, waiters did not seem to pay much attention to our table, and we were served after several tables that came to us. Overall, no great experience because we went around 3.45 and we had to work so that we were too late for it. But the room is super beautiful, the coffee is beautiful even tho I did not see any grain decoration on our drinks (I found it strange considering their pictures on Instagram and we liked the gesture from the manager. They seem overwhelmed (which is to be understood by the current situation here in Quebec and the lack of workers.
Chipped glass, Lebanese breakfast was short on sausage and chickpea tomato part tasted fizzy (sign it was getting old). Will not be coming back.
We really enjoyed our experience, but above all because we were in the meeting room, so it was less loud but still to hear. Nice service and delicious food.
