This place was close to my Airbnb so I decided to try it. The salad and pizza (artichoke one) was really good. I also had Tiramisu to go and that was good. My problem is that no where on the website, menu, or building did it say that I was cash only. I had to pull money out of the ATM at the end when I found out. I should have read through the reviews more thoroughly. I am fine if I know I need cash ahead of time, bu... View all feedback.
Amazing ! The award-winning pizzaria is a gem in this area. We felt history and dedication here. Really good portion and price. Actually we came back again! 5 formages highly recommended.
I just discovered this place by meeting some friends. They've been coming here regularly for 20 years. I just had the best tasting pizza ever. I think it's the sauce they use. The staff is just as great as the food, polite, smiling and fast. Now that I know about Amelia's, I will be coming here on a regular basis. Thank you so much
I 've been going to this restaurant when I 'm in Montreal for over 25 years and up until this evening, never had a complaint. I went in this evening, sat down, and my server came and asked if I wanted a menu. Sounded a bit strange, but I said yes. (Maybe I looked like a regular? I ordered my meal, thoroughly enjoyed it (as always , then asked for the bill. The pricing on the bill was about 20% higher than what had been on the menu, so I asked the server to correct it. She looked at a little scrap of paper (not the menu and told me that the price on the bill was correct. Essentially, their menus are out of date, but no one told me this when I was ordering. When I said that they should have told me this when handing me the menu, I was told that I should have used the QR code menu on the table to see the current prices, or that there is a printed menu with pricing above their cash that I could reference. (Why would I do either of those things if I have a menu in my hand? I wouldn 't, nor would anyone else. I was also told that because of COVID and trying to be sustainable, they 're trying to avoid paper menus. I have no issue with that, but you need to at least tell me that the menu you 're giving me is out of date. An easy fix would have been to honour the outdated price and a commitment to better communication. An apology too. None of those happened. I 'm not sure if I 'll be back. Caveat emptor.
Five.. 5... FIVE CHEESE PIZZA.. 5 STARS... Listen. I eat a lot. I go to every restaurant in Montreal and buy the whole menu. After having 4 boxes of this 5 CHEESE aka White Pizza at Amelia 's... I have been trying to find a better pizza.. and I just can 't... this is the best pizza. I went to NY to see if I could find a better pizza... nope... After eating my first 3 slices of Amelia 's white pizza.. I knew it then... I don 't think I 've ever had better pizza than this Oh by the way, the other food on the menu is also great. I eat a lot of eggplant sandwiches, and I must say, this eggplant submarine that they have, is probably going to end up being my favorite vegetarian sandwich. It is really good. My friend ordered the baked lasagna and onion soup as well, and was blowminded by how good it was. I went there on a Thursday night, it was just my friend and I. When we showed up, there was just 1 other person in the restaurant. We felt like we got the whole VIP treatment. I can 't wait to go back. I love this place!
I gave a 4 stars but the only reason why it deserves 3 stars is because i went there on a friday evening which I understand, it was jam packed. I got there by 8:15pm and got out by 10pm without having my meal. We ordered a baked lasagna and a hawaiin pizza, we first had both a salad which were included with our meal, then 20min has passed, just to tell us they had no baked lasagna. So we said ok lets order spaghetti with meat sauce, we decided to be patient. Than we waited for another 15min then we got our soup (it was almost 9pm, so hungry) As we started having our onion soup (which is so good by the way) then comes right away my partners pizza. Another 30-35min has passed still no spaghetti. I was already upset by then, and when I was about to ask for our bill, the waitress brings my plate. I told her I didnt want it anymore so she politely brought it back. This was my first time it happened here so human mistakes is understandable. And having to work in a busy restaurant when younger, often its goes out of hand, the restaurant was really busy. except for this incident the food, service and location is Like almost everything they have on their menu are really delicious. Their pizzas and spaghettis are MUST-HAVES.
