The service was friendly and welcoming, the food was full of flavour. Altogether a good experience and will definitely try it out again.

My family of three went to Le Bourgeon after I realized there would be at least some vegan options for me (which are difficult to find in Montpellier!).We walke... read more My family of three went to Le Bourgeon after I realized there would be at least some vegan options for me (which are difficult to find in Montpellier!).We walked in a bit after 19h30, and although it's better to make a reservation at dinner time, we were seated immediately upstairs. Once we climbed the rickety spiral staircase, we found a cozy sitting room with cushioned benches (and chairs and tables a bit squished together).The waitress was patient while I ordered for everyone in halting French and the food came out quickly (compared to other restaurants I've been to). My dad and brother both agreed that their burgers were delicious. The latter even said it was the second best burger he had in his life--which is amazing... I've almost never heard him compliment a restaurant's food before.The vegan dish I chose was mixed veggies with a side salad and fries. The vegetables were really well prepared, although the meal was a bit lacking in terms of a protein (like quinoa, tofu, etc). However, there were more veg options to choose from and I'd love to try the others the next time I go.Overall, Le Bourgeon is a great restaurant with delicious food. It's definitely worth visiting and I'll be going back again!
