The place is nice, cozy and warm with some barrels to remember its Italian name la botte . A good place to spend a quiet evening. I had a pizza with truffles and it was tasty, I also tasted crocchè di patate. They were delicious, very big and handmade. View all feedback.

I had read about this osteria on trip advisor and given that the restaurant has just started to publicise on the TV via a very professional and inviting advert, my husband daughter and I decided to give it a try The osteria itself is a great mix of old and new and i was absolutely fascinated at the clientelle that was already ordering within. The place is bright, clean and decorated to the right amount of antique furniture to set a calm atmostphere but modern tabling with ultra modern place settings to attract the younger clientelle old ladies were ordering takeaway pizzas and all sorts of fried delights and this made me laugh as the atmosphere is quite young when you see older generations frequenting this type of new osteria, it kind of reassures me that the food must be good and i was not wrong. The osteria promotes the pizza in all it 's glory and it 's pizza menue is very extensive they priase a local product that is absolutelyu exclusive to the area The Cipolle Ramata di Montoro an onion only grown here and very succulent and tastey they have also created a pizza round this product and what i found so impressive was that they also listed all the special ingredients that they use in their pizzas with their origins from Sicily to Milan, the chefs have taken advantage of what Italy has to offer as wells as promoting it 's wealth of local produce. My daughter opted for a beautiful veal steak which was cooked medium rare to perfection and served covered with onions and porcini mushrooms a hot slab of marble was bought to the table for her to heat her meat should it get cold on her plate my husband and i opted for pizzas he had a new addition to the menue called the STAR it is a pizza formed in the shape of a star with 5 flavours of pizza wrapped into each corner and then in the middle another type of pizza is made all in all you get 6 choices of pizza in one!! It was absolutely beautiful to see and a real delight to eat so clever and packed with good ingredients and taste my pizza never varies as i have allergies but Nicola was so attentive and made sure that what i had ordered was made to perfection and it was!!!!! Pasquale the pizza chef is a real artiste he knows his way around pizza dough and has managed to create a menue that really does the place justice my daughter and husband tried fried stuffed zucchini flowers stuffed with local ricotta we had a great bottle of Aglianico local wine from Taurasi So this is how the bill goes STAR PIZZA 7 EUROS PIZZA WITH EXTRA TOPPINGS 6 EUROS STUFFED ZUCCHINI FLOWERS 2 EUROS WINE 10 EUROS WATER 1.50 VEAL STEAK (AT LEAST 250GRMS) 10 EUROS TABLE COVER 4.50 Total bill was 40 euros but here is the treat, Nicola offered us free liquers made in house and my daughter a coffee, they have a great menue that is small apart from the pizza list which is really extensive and varied, the rest of the menue consists in antipasti traditional italian, local and also deep mediterranean, salads which are really creative and fried delights, like the onion rings, croquette potatoes and of course those zucchine, fried pizzas and then 3 meat options Pure beef burgers with no additives veal steak and sides They have a huge beer list too this place is nice for when you really want to just sit back and relax in a bright, clean osteria, with nice music and a clean approach to good traditional dining with a modern twist. Try this place, it is great for all, families, young adults, couples and the more mature the locals love it, so i have become a fan too. Thanks Nicola and i will return he has great tips on how to cook those onions and i cannot wait to try them at the Botte. Rita and Gennaro Avellino
