We have been to this restaurant many times in the past 4 years and have never been disappointed. The hearty food is reminiscent of the mountains with the platters of varied sausages, potatoes and cheese. The potatoes baked in a casserole are the best ever! We have booked at 9 pm, but the table was already occupied and the owner was pushing us back. It was not a misunderstending but really an overbooking. The explanation was absolutely an excuse joking on the time (at the telephone was crystall clear it was at 9pm). It is not professional for a restaurant to act like this and it is more serious to talk looking to the eyes and say “sorry I have made a mistake” View all feedback.
My wife and I had a marvelous dinner at La Chaumiere Montignac. The food was fantastic. I had duck and my wife had a dish with potatoes, onions, and beef. The owner is a character and gives great advice on food and wine. The greatest value for French food is in small towns such as Montignac. This is a meal we will long remember.
Looking for somewhere for lunch on a hut June day, we stumbled upon this shady, cool place, and wandered in. Greeted warmly by the waiter, and served a delicious choice of meals, including fresh salads with interesting ingredients, and tartiflette for those with bigger appetites.

Super restaurant avec un patron aux petits soins avec ses clients.Attention, réservation impérative pour le soir car le restaurant est petit et ne fait qu'un service.Les plats sont succulents. La qualité et comme la quantité sont au rendez-vous.La fille est végétarienne et le patron lui a proposé une tartiflette végétarienne qui n'est pourtant pas sur la carte.Elle s'est régalée (tout comme nous).Merci pour ce très agréable moment.
