Anglers Proper Pour - Monticello

Went for Mother's Day brunch. The food tasted good but was mostly cold. The service was a little slow. I feel as though they should have planned better knowing they were going to be busy. At one point, I had to cut my own roast beef because the person running that station wasn't there, and I stood there for 5 minutes waiting. I like buffets, but they need to make sure the food they are serving to the public is at the correct temperature, which I don't think most of it was. Our server had an opinion and attitude about a lot of things and made for uncomfortable interactions. I was very disappointed in the whole dining experience. I'm not sure if I'll go back.

Ill try to be precise and brief..the old fashioned was very good. Medium rare ribeye was a thin overcooked no bone and a very poor excuse of a steak they call a ribeye. Mashed potatoes portion extremely small portion with salty lumpy gravy. The waitress completely ignored me. Had to have the bartender do everything. Last time I will be there. Cutting corners big time in my opinion 9

Appetizers were amazing, especially the shrimp, and Kyle Hurd played awesome live music!!

The brunch was fantastic! Service was top notch. So nice to see a county landmark returned to it's former glory. Well done.

Being a restaurant owner ourselves, we love to go to a place that really takes care of business. If you're looking for a place like that, Anglers is the place you want to go,! Great food, great atmosphere, great service. You can't ask for more!
