Cody assisted me in getting day passes for my visit. He was a pleasure to work with. He was very knowledgeable about the resort and would answer questions without hesitation. Went to stay in the cabins. Cabins were ok. Air conditioning was adequate and room was ok. But the pool on the other hand was hot. The water was hot. Don’t know why but water was very warm. The facilities are not what you see on the website. They are all really there but a picture can’t describe what the grounds look like as well as what the status of the place is. Super slow service, 2 stars cause the coffee if good (starbucks) but they need a lot of process improvement to get things off the line quicker ro customers.
Their coffee is ok. Nothing too fancy. I would suggest getting a grande and making sure they calculated your order total correctly.
The front desk assistant took our credit card upon arrival and swiped it with no explanation of fees. She then attempted to rush us away when we asked for more information. The elevator situation is horrible. You must wait in a muggy lobby for sometimes 30 minutes to access the elevator, which is also muggy. Our sliding glass door in the room was broken and does not lock. The shower does not drain appropriately and could take up to 10 minutes. Housekeeping does not come to the room just incase you’re expecting that. At the on-site Landshark Bar and Grill, we waited 5 minutes to be greeted and seated. Once seated, we waited 10-12 minutes for a server to come and take orders. He assured us our waitress would come help soon. Near the end of our dining experience, she explained she had an 11 top to serve prior to helping us. Being busy is understandable, however there should be a balance of service for all paying guests and adequate customer service training to match. After a hard dose of racial discrimination at the pool via staff, we finally decided enough was enough and checked out a day early.
No pool chiller! In Texas! At this level of hotel, we were very disappointed in the temperature of the pools. The pool water was extremely hot, like bath water hot. The sides of the pools were black with sunscreen and muck. We ended up sitting in the baby pool by the bucket drop. It was the cooler of all the pools and not murky, hot water. If you are not going for the pool, you will be fine. The service was good. The room was spacious clean and the air condition in the room worked great. The bed was comfortable. Our refrigerator was broken and they replaced it immediately. The hotel breakfast buffet was nice. There was an 18% gratuity included on our tab for two, so watch that. The pool attendants and servers were nice and prompt. The Land Shark restaurant was nice and the food was good. Staff at the restaurant were very friendly. Just a little focus on the details, emptying trash cans by the pool before trash is flowing out and on top of them and cleaning the pool and surrounding areas…..just one step below being an excellent resort. So close.
It's great and they serve very well, the service is excellent… 100% recommended!The girls who served us were very loving, delicious coffees and meals.
