Came here because two locals told us they like this place. We were shocked to see how big the menu was. In the end we ordered hot and spur soup, Seven Stars Around the Moon, Half Crispy Duck, and Happy Sumo Roll. The duck was boneless and came with somewrappers. The main dish had large scallops and vegetables. We were full after demolishing all the food in a very short time. View all feedback.
What Orval Ankunding doesn't like about Akashi:
Food is amazing. Service is so bad that my husband and I had finished our food while my son waited for his because he did not order from the hibachi grill. Never got a refill on anything. Their answer was they are extremely short staffed. View all feedback.
My wife has been wanting me to come here for weeks and finally tried it. The service was great thanks to Ethan. People at the door were friendly and welcoming. Ordered edamae and came out quickly. Also ordered the family meal so we could try more items. The food was hot but not too hot. The quality seemed and tasted fresh and entrees came out quickly...almost too quickly that itdid overlap the appetizers but it all worked out. Additionally the portions were great, so you had better be hungry. Price wasalso right. Had a great experience. The only improvement that would help is to have the staff clean the menu's as they were abit dirty. However, we will be back soon.
Love this place!!! Their servers are Always so kind helpful! I?ve had all kinds of items from the bento box to specialty chef rolls. Sake is a must have each visit!
This akashi is beautifully decorated and modern. the woodwork is suitable for its location. we entered the marina, a super simple access to the boat life. what is most important, the fish was fresh and temperature correct. our waiter let me charge my battery phone, and especially was extremely serviceable. it is rare, but great to see male waiters in a ladies dominated industry. we support diversity in every area. the weather was beautiful, so we sat outside. it was just a very perfect experience in one of our favorite restaurant chains.

Make sure you are very hungry before attempting the hibachi meal. The food was excellent. I do like mine with a bit more seasoning, but it was delicious. Comparing to Shogun, soup and salad is better at shogun. Rice is a toss up all though you get more at Akashi. The steaks are better here. The shrimp tempura is better here. I prefer the shrimp at shogun, but it is close. And when I say Shogun, I am referring to the one in Vintage Park. Other Shoguns are not nearly as good as that one.
