El Mirall - Montgat

Delicious fresh seafood with very friendly service, they tried to make sure we understood as our catalan/Spanish wasn't strong but they were so accommodating

We had a nice table outside in beautiful sunshine. The food and service were both excellent and the staff looked after us very well. The only slight downside is the proximity to the railway line where trains run up and down fairly frequently and halt the conversation for several seconds. The Sunday set menu was 28.95€ excluding drinks which was very good value considering the quality of the food. My wife ate cod with truffle sauce and I ate sea bass. Both were exquisite. I would definitely recommend this place to any tourist who wants to leave Barcelona city and do something different. The nearest station, Montgat, is easily reachable from central Barcelona by train and is just a fre minutes walk from the restaurant. Definitely recommended

My Girlfriend and I had a special evening meal here during our stay in Montgat. The restaurant is right next to the beach take care, it's only open for a few hours in the evening on Friday and Saturday, otherwise you must go during the day. Although we were the first to arrive, the maitre'd greeted us warmly in Catalan and seated us. He continued to be an absolute gentleman for the rest of the evening. We were given menus in Catalan, and between us (my Girlfiend speaks a little Spanish! we determined that we would have prawn carpaccio, sardines in white wine, anchovies and dressed mussels. Everything was sublime, fresh and absolutely delicious. We finished the meal with some lovely ice cream, just enough for that time of night. Just to say, we chose red house wine which was local and drank beautifully. If you're in Montgat, you must stop off here for lunch or dinner, you're in for a treat.

Pequeño gran restaurante de Montgat, sin duda el mejor relación calidad-precio. El menú de mediodía es sensacional: diferentes platos mediterráneos de 1r y 2n, donde nunca faltan varias paellas riquísimas. El de ortigas de mar es un MUST!! Servicio 10! Carta de vinos cortita, encuentro a faltar alguna ref de blanco un poco más top (perfecta para sus súper paellas! . Fins aviat!
