Great restaurant. Degustation of the Pounti in the entrance a delight even children loved. And then confit of duck (of the real) with fine light chips and house. We've been immersed in the movies of the past where everything is from time to time... But it feels good to be in simplicity with a welcoming and friendly boss. Thank you.
The stopover is a real restaurant with real restorers, real products. A local cuisine that is always successful. Every year we spend only for pleasure. The rate is very accessible. It's hard to eat elsewhere when you'll taste Marie's good cuisine and her homemade pies.
On Monday noon in Montézic, the boss (Gérard welcomes you with sympathy in this restaurant room that fills small to small workers who come for their lunch break or others who are there to find themselves or to stop in their tourist day. To begin with, there is a salad composed, copyy and well-stocked with nuts and bacon, and then you continue with a salmon paved with basmati rice and a julienne of vegetables. The sauce is delicious. Then it's the cheese tray. We staled on the desserts that are offered in the menu (14€ because the previous dishes were very copied. Marie, Gérard's wife, is in the kitchen, greeting us behind her stoves. The Escale is part of this category of restaurants, both simple and delicious, as was often found in the countryside but which are becoming increasingly rare today.
L'Atelier de création de jewellery Lyseth Creation of beautiful jewels warm welcome to see had advised us to go eat in this small restaurant. We have very good food, the products are excellent quality, everything is homemade and the dishes are copied. We ate in particular a wonderful aligot (attention to this dish, it is better to book the old one) and a super strawberry. The boss is very friendly and warm. Really, if you pass through this region, do not miss making a stopover in this restaurant.
On the holiday route, discover this small restaurant bar that has all seduced us completely: a very friendly welcome with a very appreciated little humour, tasteful and generous family cuisine from good local products, all for an excellent value for money (several tables were obviously reserved by regulars).
