Antipasteria Pizzeria Il Botteghino Canneto Pi

We happened on this place this evening whilst driving over the hills. We have very little Italian; the owners have very little English. We also had to cater for me a gluten free vegetarian! This is primarily a pizzeria and not one serving GF pizza. Not withstanding that (or the fact that they were fully booked with people sitting out in the road! , they went through everything in their kitchen to provide me with the best antipasti I have ever had. My dinner companions had great pizzas but I had the better deal this time. 3 big dinners and 3 soft drinks all for 32 euros a bargain! The couple running the restaurant together with their son and daughter (I think couldn't have made us more welcome. I commend this to anyone wanting an enjoyable meal. Exquisit, simple made out of fresh n tasty good ingredients Pizza. Friendly staff. Great place......

Do not go here if you like American style thick pizza. They serve lovely thin and very crispy Italian pizza to eat in or takeaway. They are clearly busy and we had to wait 40 minutes for our takeaway but it was well worth it; and it is rather pleasant sitting on the wall outside watching the evening turn into night. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is that one of the pizzas was wrong (although still very tasty).

We were there yesterday evening and I have to say that it was one of the best ones in Italy ever, not just about the pizza simple, very tasty with great pizza cake. It’s also the stuff, atmosphere, simple carta with two options of dessert panacotta or cheesecake all two were great as well. Nice wine and coffee. Also prices are very very friendly here: dinner for three with antipasti, wine, desserts and coffee for 50€ sounds good.

Pizzeria Botteghino is located in small cute village lead by very nice and simpatico Diego. Tasty pizza and great deserts we can recommend everyone who want to feel real Italian Tuscany atmosphere. Home made limoncello served after dinner was also nice surprise. We will for sure visit this place at nearest opportunity.
