Govinda - Monterrey

As a vegetarian it is hard to find veg food in Monterey every time we go to the restaurant, we waiters have to say that no meeting, no fish, no egg etc., many times I got raw vegetables and cooked potatoes. searched on the internet and went... to Govind Restaurant, I felt it is very good, simple ambience, great taste of food.

Good North Indian food in Mexican land. We found this place when we were starving for Indian food, although the selections were ok the food tasted decent.

At $89MXN, the idea of a vegetarian buffet of Indian cuisine was attractive to a lonely in Mexico. The expectations were high, especially because of the preconcrete idea that lunch would be Indian today. The ambience of the restaurant was very simple. Wooden chairs and tables gave a traditional look from the inside. Traditional Hindu hymn was played on the background that was somehow soothing. I'm coming to dinner. It was like eating a mixture of Indian and Mexican cultures to say. Rice was cooked with various varieties. Chickpeas tasted the best. In addition to spaghetti, salads and vegetables with an outer coating (Pakoddas). The restaurant is very warm late in the afternoon. To sum it up, Govinda takes its inspiration from India as a whole, but connects Indian food with other kitchens. Not the authentic Indian restaurants.
