Lake Spring - Monterey Park

We are familiar with high-quality, authentic Shanghai cuisine. The food at Comfort-Heim-Kooking is delicious and offers a wide variety at a reasonable price. This is quality food that will not disappoint.

The dining experience at this restaurant was disappointing. We ordered three dishes: fake shark fin, overly salty lamb, and fake steak. None of them tasted like authentic Shanghainese cuisine. The fish dish used a fake type of fish and was served in a bright pink sauce. My husband took one bite and refused to eat any more. The lamb was so salty that we couldn't take another bite. I gave this restaurant two stars because they replaced the lamb dish after we complained. I do not recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic Shanghainese food.

The restaurant is located in a charming small space and the staff is incredibly friendly. The service was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We can't wait to come back and try more dishes. We highly recommend this place!

Lake Spring is the restaurant of choice for our family members in Monterey Park. The restaurant offers authentic and delicious Chinese foods. We always enjoy their dishes during our visits in the past 20 years under the same ownership.
