Good tortas. Not your traditional tortas that you're probably used to. But they are good. But the varied selection will persuade you to try it. I get the molcajete torta, forgot what item number it is, one of my favorites. They use like a chibatta type of bread. But the meat is good and freshly made. They also have daily made aquas frescas. They do have some pastries as well. You will get a side with your torta. Just... View all feedback.
What Raegan Terry doesn't like about Cook's Tortas:
The food is quite good if you can actually manage to get it. They provide curbside pickup and have even set up a shield outside, but when you call to place your order, the staff can be quite rude, claiming they won’t go the extra steps as they advertise. When you inquire about the owner or manager, they seem clueless. Once you arrive to pick up your prepaid order, you’re left waiting in one line while being ignored.... View all feedback.
The best place in town. tried to live this place in the city after 6 years. Looks like we found a new place. We order (Cuban, Califas and turkey) A tortta is more than just a Mexican version of a coveted sandwich. it is a completely different species. A good tortta is usually everywhere where a good taco.
Looking for some really good gourmet tortas? Make sure to check this joint out and if you can?t decide which torta to get, then hopefully this helps out. I tried the shrimp po? boy torta and it was our favorite one. The sauce and the condiments really compliments the torta. The second one we both enjoyed was the milanesa torta. The milanesa is nice and tender and cooked really good. Make sure to try the torta cubana which is really filling and the carne asada one. Their macaroni salad and potato salad that comes with the sides are also delicious.
Coworkers told me about this and it?s 3rd time going there, still fresh and delicious sandwiches Carne asada, chicken and grilled veg. also strawberry guava drinks, potato salad side

But now a days, everything seems to be pricey. I pay around $15- $20 w/ drink. Give it a try though, bet you won't go just once.
Cooks is amazing! They bake their own breads and pastries, ingredients are super fresh. I love the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant. Staff was super friendly. Big selection and lots to choose from. Everything was very flavorful , prepared well and was picturesque. It gets busy durring lunch rush but then line moves quickly. Lots of restaurant seating and a small patio as well.
