This restaurant and pastry shop produces some of the best traditional Portuguese sweets near Coimbra. Its “pastéis de Tentúgal” and “queijadas” are fantastitic and should not be missed. Its pies, namely the chicken pie are also very nice. View all feedback.
Onde você poderá comer os melhores pastéis de tentugal do mundo “Doce conventual DOP” , e muito mais
O melhor pastel de Tentúgal. Super equilibrado na quantidade de açúcar.
If you are staying in Coimbra or nearby and have a car, it is worthwhile to take a 20 minute deviation along the old road to Figueira de Foz. A Pousadinha is located on the main road, just before arriving in Montemor-o-Velho. The specialities are the Tentúgal pastries and queijadinhas that are famous in the region. The name of the pastries comes from the adjoining village of Tentúgal. Apart from the desserts, they also have a good range of savoury pastries (empadas) and daily lunch specials. Prices are very good value for money and the quality is excellent. Many locals stop here for take aways.
There are a lot of pastry in Tentúgal. THIS is for me the best place by far. Best quality and nice people. Always good price quality. And a huge offer.
For lunch, our group ordered a sandwich, a dish with bifanas, eggs, and potatoes, a bacalhão com nata, and 3 slices of pizza. Everyone was very pleased with the food. I was especially pleased with the pizza! The food and 5 drinks cost around 50 euros. They also have an amazing assortment of delicious-looking desserts, but we were too full to get any.
