What User doesn't like about Entre Ascuas:
We went here for our last meal in Montejaque and were very optimistic. The waiter was friendly and attentive, and the square is beautiful to sit in. However, our optimism quickly faded at the sight and taste of the food. The seafood was rubbery like those seafood sticks you get in a supermarket, and the rest of the food was stodgy and seemed as if it was straight out of freezer packs! Also, our sangria tasted like ov... View all feedback.
Alvaro is an excellent owner and manager of this hotel, restaurant and well established bar. tapas and dinners are the first. It has excellent wines, although it does not serve a drink as generous as some of the other bars in the square. sitting in the shadow under so new marquesins and many parasols, seeing the world pass, with a summer dye in the hand, is highly recommended.
We walked through the city, went to find a place to eat and ran into this restaurant. the waiter was very attentive to what we needed and very kind. wide variety of cards, burgers, pasta, tapas, meats, fish. I love a burger that was spectacular, for nothing expensive to see where it is. Without a doubt, if it happened again, I'd eat another one of those burgers again.
We came from the visit to the montejaque and this restaurant was the first one we stepped on. We were very well served. acceptable prices. well served tapas and rations and quite good. recommended place to eat.
Nice location on the square, with outdoor tables for when the sun shines! Almost entirely locals, couples, groups of friends, families with children but we were very welcome. A lively mix of people, drinking, taking advantage of the cheap tapas, or ordering main dishes from the carta. Drinks well-priced, food nicely prepared, we enjoyed our evening very much.
Sunny exterior seating in the Town Hall and Church square, the centre of activity in town. Friendly service, reasonable price, passable chef. The goat's cheese salad and oven-baked salmon steak followed by an ice-cream dessert. Recommended. The town is well kept and friendly, got the feeling they weren't used to seeing visitors, perhaps attributable to the winding roads down into the valley from all directions. Parking is not allowed in the square, the residents' way round this is to stop in the middle of the road and leave their engines running, which all seem to be large aging diesels!
