I was taken here by a friend... 3 years ago. And I make it my business to always eat here upon visiting the island .. I’ve been going to the Caribbean for over 25 years, so I should have been smarter about entering a place with no prices on the menu or board.... We entered at the same time as two other couples, one pair of which had eaten and left before a morsel was delivered... I might be a bit bias as this is my grandmother's restaurant, but this is the best food with a view you can find in Montego Bay.
Lovely family restaurant located right on the beach at Whitehouse. Violet, the wonderful lady who runs the place, served us. She was awesome...friendly and thoughtful. She provided great service! The food was excellent! We had Ackee and Saltfish, with breadfruit, plantain, fried dumplings...so delicious!!! We took Steamed Fish (Snapper) home for dinner. So, delicious! Overall, Evelin's On The Beach has a wonderful, relaxed, chill vibe and delivers yummy, fresh, cooked-to-order Jamaican meals. Go check it out for yourself...and ask about their overnight rooms.
Omg, omg, rustic, I hope the owners know they have a gem on their hands, you can go swimming right after eating, I was not prepared to swim but my feet was in the water. To the owners add some umbrellas and some chairs and upon my return I may never leave. My fish and bammy deeellliiissshh, finger licking, ill be back in November on my next trip
This place is AMAZING the view the food the ppl the vibes are just RIGHT! Make sure if you are in Jamaica you must come here
Cost effective dining...quiet sea side sitting.... home style cooking...70s feel of a beachfront home....
