Agreed, it 's not that easy to find, but the effort is worth it. From the 'coast road ' (Agropoli Santa Maria Acciaroli) go to 'Casa del Conte ' a small village around 5Km south of Santa Maria and take the only turning (inland) towards Mainolfo Giungatelle Perdifumo. It 's a narrow little 'country ' road with it 's own share of lunatic drivers defensive driving is therefore highly recommended. Follow this road through Mainolfo (1.5Km) and Giungatelle (another 1.5Km) blink and you 'll miss them. Around 1 2 Km past Giungatelle village 'triangle ' (you 'll know what I mean when you see it) is the Pizzeria. Look carefully to your left hand side and go slowly or you 'll miss it. (They don 't do illuminated signs and so on, as the locals all know where it is). Owned and managed by Carmela the pizzeria is in the courtyard of her family home. This year (2011) they built a swimming pool and enclosed the dining area with glass walls to provide a comfortable environment they open fully to let the evening breeze waft through. The pizzas are typically rustic. Made by Carmela and cooked in her purpose built oven adjacent to the dining area, they are all you could want in a 'no frills ' pizza. She does all the usual traditional toppings plus one or two specialities. The service, like the atmosphere, is very relaxed. They offer a few home made 'antipasti ' and local wine (battery acid, if you 're not used to it). The dining style is 'rustic ', so don 't expect pink tablecloths and silver service simply good food, served to your table, hot and tasty. The surprising thing is the exceptionally good value for money. Their most expensive pizza is €5.50 so with drinks etc you could easily feed a family for around €20. If you want to stay there, Carmela has 5 rooms, on a bed and half board basis, which are clean and comfortable typically Italian 'Agriturismo ' style. Finally, and like the chef that eats in his own restuarant, all the locals in the area go there for their pizzas which is a reccomendation in itself.
