Eat good classic Italian slow food. This is the restaurant of two Polenta brothers which is a family restaurant where they have been inherited the ancient Italian food traditions by their parents. Here you can taste the flavour of years ago and goes back to 1958. This restaurant exudes a warm and Italian atmosphere and you are kindly helped. I ate deliciously and especially the fresh made 'fettuccine '. With this pasta I ordered a bottle of wine and not the vino da tavola . Other reviews complained about this wine but what do you expect from €2 per litre (almost cheaper than a bottle of water). The wine bottles are cooled in the traditional way; in the cave and so with the perfect temperature. And for me an important issue is that I noticed that the locals eat in this establishment. By the way ... enjoy after eating the lovely view of Rome at the square Belvedere .

The atmosphere is very simple, yet intimate and familiar. I went for lunch on Christmas Day and it felt like home. The food was simply cooked, yet authentically flavorful. Very generous portions. Reasonable prices. The owner, Alessandro, is friendly and always ready to please his customers. The first time I visited this restaurant, invited by my brother who lives in Monte Compatri, I had a superb plate of gnocchi. I will definitely be back.

The atmosphere is welcoming, with a 1960s vibe; most of the other customers knew each other. We stumbled upon it by chance and didn't get to try the polenta, which must be ordered in advance. Instead, we ordered cappelletti in chicken broth, sautéed chicory, a 1/4 bottle of white wine, and a sour cherry tart. The host was attentive, everything was delicious, generous portions, and fair prices.
