I’ve been here twice, once with a late party and a party of 6 and both times we had incredible service and the food is delicious. Even the basics are incredible. No children’s menus so if your kids are picky then make sure to look at the selections. We had the chicken cutlet (served with a garlic parsley oil if you like), meatballs, margherita pizza, carbonara pizza. The carbonara pizza is to die for. Excellent marin... View all feedback.
What annie Mabilat doesn't like about Porta Montclair:
My friend and I went to Porta for dinner last night. While we love Porta, unfortunately Porta did not love us back. My friend ended up throwing up at about 6 am and I haven’t left the bathroom all day. Something we ate most definitely didn’t sit right with either of us which makes sense as we shared the dishes we got. Definitely unfortunate because otherwise we had a pretty good time. Get the bread basket to soak up the sauce!
Be careful guys, rats are walking around the place! I saw them. We mentioned to the waiter, he told to the manager and the answer was… ok I going to handle! The manager was so so

Me and my girlfriend decided to stop and eat brunch at Porta last Saturday. We were both excited considering the location in Asbury Park is great. However both of us were extremely disappointed by the fact that we were seated in a far corner of the restaurant and not acknowledged at all. We noticed all the wait-staff on their phones leaning on the bar when we were walking in, but it seems like they all wanted the day off when we finally got seated because they all filed into a separate room. The worst part of this all is the restaurant was barely busy, plenty of empty area and yet we were still ignored for over 15 minutes. We tried flagging a waitress down, and I even flipped my chair 180 degrees and looked several of them in the eyes in hope of being noticed. While making our exodus I really don't think the hosts even noticed that we were leaving too soon, it's a shame because at the very least they did their half of the job. Even more astounding how the Greek Diner across the street was far busier and we were able to be seated and receive our orders in the same amount of time we waited for a single human being to introduce themselves at Porta. I would totally recommend this place if you enjoy sitting in a restaurant-themed room. The lack of service would allow you to catch up on your reading.
Great pizza! Love their variations of pizza and the meatballs are quality!! ???? really good drink selection as well!
