Mitsuru Sushi Ramen - Montclair

Great price great sushi! The staff is nice the cook is really good at keeping the customer happy with his service and attitude. The restaurant looks like nice it's a hidden gem

This place is so good! I have tried the ramen and the stuffed jalapeños and man those jalapeños are a hit!!!

Unfortunately this ramen was just not good...not even a little bit. Just giving it 3 stars because of the friendly waitress and waiter, and also I hate giving 1 stars to establishments trying to make it post COVID. So I am being generous. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen. Broth was not deep or flavorful. It tasted like the smell of a pig, if that makes sense. I doused it in chili oil and togarashi to give it flavor. The egg add on was not even seasoned! it tasted like a regular soft boiled egg. The pork, do not even get me started on the pork. Only 1 of the 5 pieces was charred. The rest looked like boiled chicken (see photo). Pork was so dry and tasteless. Omg. The 5 stars for this place must come from people who have never had ramen in their life, or folks who aren't Asian lol. I am spoiled from LA and have had incredible ramen from everywhere. Anyway, I should have waited the 35m wait down the street at the ONLY other ramen spot close to upland. I moved out here from LA and the rumors are true, Asian food out here is awful!

The service was definitely a 5 star. They were super nice. The ramen was great. Mine was a little oily but nonetheless yummy for the tummy on a cold night like tonight. We left very stuffed with ramen leftover. The sushi bar was closed due to us coming pretty late. Definitely coming back to try it out.

Great service! Friendly people! Mitsuru Ramen was so good I'm saving some for leftovers can't wait to eat it!
